Our method

Assess, teach, coach

Three parts, in that order. Skipping the first one is why so many behavior plans don’t work.

  1. 01

    Find the function

A functional behavior assessment (FBA) answers the real question: what is the behavior getting your child? Escape, attention, something tangible, or sensory relief. We observe at home or school and interview you and the teachers.

  2. 02

    Teach a replacement

Every plan pairs a reduction goal with a skill to teach instead: asking for a break, waiting, tolerating “no”, using words or a device. The behavior shrinks because the child has a better way to get the same thing.

  3. 03

    Coach the adults

Parents and teachers get a short, written plan and hands-on practice. Consistency across home and school is what makes the change stick; we measure it and adjust every week.

Where

Where the behavior happens is where we work

At home

Where most of the hard moments happen: mornings, homework, dinner, bedtime. Sessions are scheduled around those routines on purpose.

At school

Coordinated with the IEP or 504 team, the classroom teacher and the school counselor. We can support the child during the day and help write the BIP.

Telehealth parent coaching

Weekly video coaching for families who want to run the plan themselves between in-person visits.

Clinicians

The BCBAs who write the plans

Board-certified behavior analysts based in Kendall, supervising every technician and every plan.

FAQ

Questions about behavior therapy

Is this only for children with autism?

ABA-based behavior therapy is used for children with autism and other developmental diagnoses. Coverage rules depend on your plan: Florida Medicaid plans authorize ABA with an autism or related diagnosis and a physician referral. Call us and we’ll check what your plan covers.

What is a functional behavior assessment?

A structured look at what happens before and after a behavior, across settings, to identify what the behavior does for the child. It produces a written behavior intervention plan with specific strategies for parents and teachers.

Do you use punishment?

No. Plans are built on teaching replacement skills and reinforcing them. We follow the BACB ethics code and Florida’s ABA rules, and parents see and approve every plan.

How long until we see change?

Most families notice a difference in the first few weeks once the plan is being run consistently. Lasting change usually takes months, and we track the data with you every week.

Can you come to my child’s school?

Yes, with the school’s permission and, for public schools, coordination with the ESE team. We work in Miami-Dade public, charter and private schools.

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes. BCBAs and most technicians are bilingual; plans and parent training are delivered in the family’s language.
